We Carnivora Becoming is a large scale projection work currently in progress as part of a Master of Fine Arts (Research) at VCA, University of Melbourne.
Research synopsis:
This research project engages with posthumanist methodologies through an experimental animation practice. It is a speculative attempt to conceive of regenerative multinatural ways of being in the face of escalating ecological catastrophes. Rooted in a self-reflexive worldbuilding, the work aims to make space for more-than-human knowledges to arise and reshape dominant narratives. These investigations are created through a collaboration of body, computer and domestic environment, resulting in immersive layered video projection, diffractive image making and animacy-led animation.
